The medical record department is responsible for the storage, management and security of all medical records for patients seen at Jeddah National Hospital. The department functions 24 hours a day 7 days a week, year round. The primary goal of the medical record department is to ensure that a quality medical record is maintained on every patient seen at Jeddah National Hospital and that this record can be accessed as needed for patient care and other purposes.

A medical record is maintained for every individual evaluated or treated at the hospital. Medical records furnish documentary evidence of the course of your care. They assist in protecting your legal interest and that of the hospital and your attending physician.

A medical record is the property of the hospital and is maintained for your benefit as well as that of the medical staff and the hospital. It is the hospital's responsibility to safeguard the record and the confidentiality of its contents. Written consent by you will allow release of medical information to persons not otherwise authorized to receive this information.
